Since 1986, The North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network, Inc. has been serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Fannin, Gilmer, and Pickens Counties. We offer an environment of encouragement, compassion, and support. Funding provided ensures our organization the ability to staff a twelve bed confidential shelter, operate a 24/7 crisis hotline, and provide advocacy, outreach services, education, and training.
Throughout our service area, the NGMCN has partnered with community agencies, churches, schools, civic groups, and individuals to assist men, women, and children in need of shelter, safety, and support. Building on three decades of sexual assault advocacy, legal advocacy, safe house residency, and community outreach & education, we move forward with the continued belief that
love shouldn't hurt.
In September 2016, staff celebrated 30 years of service alongside Dreaming Bear (center), a founding member
and continuing supporter of the North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network. Her efforts and passion brought a dream
to life and safety to survivors.
