Kim Folger
Board Chair
Kim is part of Folger Gas, a family business founded in 1971 by her father-in-law, Phil Folger. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Georgia and joined the company with her husband, Pete, in 1996. Kim has held various roles in the propane industry and is actively involved in the community, serving on the Fannin Chamber of Commerce board, as Board Chair for the North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network, and with Impact Fannin. Known for treating her employees like family, Kim emphasizes safety, quality, and strong family values. The third-generation family business, now managed by their son Greg in Hiawassee, continues to thrive under Kim’s leadership and commitment.
Sherry Lang

Sherry is a native Atlantan, has been living in Blue Ridge since 2019. She maintains a home in Atlanta but spends most of her time in Blue Ridge. She was an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, retiring after 33 years of service. In retirement, she enjoys traveling, golfing, hiking, and beekeeping. Sherry has one son who lives in Atlanta. Sherry has a passion for volunteering and has enjoyed many opportunities in Fannin County. She is a University of Georgia alumnae…..Go Dawgs!!
Diana Joslin

I am an elementary school teacher with 20 years of teaching experience in South Florida. I have been married to my husband Mark for 35 years. We have one son, Ryan, and a daughter in law, Kayla. We moved to Blue Ridge in 2022 and are really enjoying our time here in the mountains. I am honored to be on this board and have the opportunity to serve our community.
Michelle Swim
Treasurer
is a savvy entrepreneur with a go-getter attitude. She has a diverse background spanning the wine industry, HVAC manufacturing, and multi-family and commercial construction, along with general contracting experience. Michelle possesses strong financial skills and has a proven track record as a CFO, successfully turning companies from operating at a loss to sustained profitability. Her leadership experience includes roles as CEO, board of directors member, and involvement with non-profit organizations. She is currently the owner of Bear Claw Vineyards and Winery Inc., The Club at Bear Claw swim and tennis club, and the Blue Ridge TreeHouse, all located in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Emily was born here in the Copper Basin area so she is an authentic Fannin/Polk county resident! As a child, her parents were fine examples of community and church involvement, so she learned from an early age the positive impact of becoming involved on all levels. She enjoys my life here, raised a beautiful family and has worked hard through her business and her free time to serve the community on many levels. She is very passionate about the well-being of the people who live here and embrace any opportunity to continually make things better!

Ashton is a long-time resident of Fannin County, and attended school from elementary through high school in the area, he is deeply rooted in this small-town community. As a full-time REALTOR®, he works closely with his entire family to serve the people of North Georgia, a region he cherishs and is proud to call home. In addition he is passionate about helping the community and he actively supports numerous local non-profits, always seeking ways to give back and make a positive impact.
Sue Ellen Crossfield

Sue Ellen Crossfield brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and advocacy, driven by a commitment to social justice and community empowerment. With a degree in Business Administration specializing in Non profit Management her career has been marked by dedicated efforts to support marginalized groups, including: * Nonprofit education initiatives for low-income families * Advocacy for children’s rights at the Texas state level * Overseeing programs for abused and neglected children insuring compliance with the Texas Department of Human Services * Volunteering Chair for Texas Non Profit, Truth Be Told, where she contributed hands on to a program for incarcerated women and led outreach initiatives. Sue Ellen’s strategic vision and hands-on approach have consistently driven impactful change and expanded access to essential services. During retirement, she continues to devote hours volunteering that insure families and their animals never be hungry, homeless, abused. She understands the healing process of traumatized individuals and is passionate to making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Sue Ellen is well-positioned to make significant contributions to the mission and growth of the North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network.
Jo Ann Myers

Jo anne is a lifelong Georgian with roots in Fannin, Pickens, and Gilmer Counties, has lived on Lake Blue Ridge with her husband, Dan, since 2007. They reconnected at their 35th high school reunion after having never dated. They have four sons in Roswell, GA, and a blended household of pets, including a Shih Tzu-Schnauzer, a coon hound, and a Siberian Husky. A University of Georgia alumna and Dawg fan, Jo Ann shares a house divided with her Georgia Tech alumnus husband. Jo Ann’s career in finance and marketing took her to several cities before she retired in 2010 to travel with Dan. She now works part-time at a boutique in Blue Ridge and is active on boards for the North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network and Old Toccoa Farm Ladies Golf Association. Her hobbies include gardening, golfing, reading, and traveling. Drawn to Impact100 Fannin for its community impact model, Jo Ann became deeply involved after moving to Blue Ridge in December 2020. She took on a leadership role and is passionate about sharing this fulfilling experience with other women.

I am a North Georgia native from Ellijay. I love the mountains and this area so much. I am a REALTOR® and I have 15 years experience in the Food and Beverage Industry. I hope to bring my expertise in customer service to aid in the fundraising department for this non-profit. The work and services NGMCN provides to this community is very special to me and I am honored to be apart of it.

is a 75 year old retired attorney, who grew up in Gainesville, Georgia, attended and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in business administration , and then attended and graduated from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. I practiced law from 1975 until retiring in 2021.. I have been married to my wife, Cathy, for 53 years, and we have 2 adult children, Christopher Day, age 50, and Rachel White, age 49. Between both children we have 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 13 to 22. Cathy and I have lived in Blue Ridge since 2017. I have a yellow Labrador retriever named Herschel, and I spend a good deal of time walking him around our neighborhood. I enjoy hiking, golf and working in my woodshop.
