Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Every year, our staff visits schools to share information about consent & respect. Students pledge to recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault, identify situations in which sexual assault may occur, intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given, & create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported. Each county also recognizes Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a  proclamation, signed by a county commissioner.
